The Very Hungry Caterpillar™ Trail at Winkworth Arboretum
Visitors to Winkworth Arboretum can enjoy a delightful, family-friendly trail inspired by Eric Carle’s much-loved children’s book, The Very Hungry Caterpillar™.

This interactive experience follows the journey of the hungry caterpillar as he munches through his colourful menu and transforms into a butterfly. Illustrated markers along the trail help children explore counting, the days of the week, and the butterfly life cycle.

Trail sheets are available on arrival, and the activity is free with standard admission. National Trust members go free.
