A320 North of Woking 2025 -2026
The scheme officially started in February 2025 and is expected to be complete in 2026. Since February, the team have made huge progress on and around the St Peter’s Way Roundabout, including.. Over the course of the project, we aim to keep the community updated on our site progress and informed on upcoming works.
GRAHAM are working in partnership with Surrey County Council to deliver the A320 North of Woking Improvements Scheme. Our scheme will see the upgrade of four major junctions on the A320 between Ottershaw and Chertsey, where we will be carrying out works on/at:
• St Peter’s Way • The Ottershaw Roundabout
• The Holloway Hill / Guildford Road Junction
• The M25 J11 The scheme officially started in February 2025 and is expected to be complete in Winter 2026.
• Established a main site compound on Guildford Road.
• Started the construction of a third lane on approach to the roundabout from the M25, with final surfacing due imminently.
• Started the construction of a third lane on Guildford Road on approach to the roundabout from Ottershaw.
• Excavated and levelled the land to the north of St Peter’s Way, ready to construct a third lane on the eastbound carriageway towards the M25. We have also started on our next works location, at the junction of Guildford Road and Holloway Hill. We have closed a lane outside Salesian School which will allow us to:
• Relocate the entrance and fence line for Salesian School,
• Install additional bus stops and drop-off laybys,
• Replace and widen the existing footpath outside the school,
• Carry out utility diversions beneath the ground
Over the course of the next few months, we will be completing our improvements to the St Peter’s roundabout and St Peter’s Way, including the new lane eastbound towards the M25 J11.
We are preparing for works on our other sites, near Holloway Hill and the Ottershaw roundabout, so you may see increased activity in the area over the next few months.
This will include
• Establishing small ‘Satellite’ site compounds.
• Carrying out site investigations and trial holes to identify underground utility services.
• Beginning vegetation clearance ahead of the start of construction.
• Installing temporary traffic management.
